Gabriella Zhao is an alumna from the Singapore American School and is currently pursuing her B.A. Degree at the Columbia University in Political Science & Philosophy.
Prior to college, she founded United Singapore at 16 in response to Prime Minister Lee Hsien Loong’s speech on the National Identity Crisis at the Ho Rih Hwa Leadership Conference. She felt that it was her civic duty to address the importance of integration and unity through local means, by bridging the gap between the local and international communities.
5 national campaigns and 3 years later, she hopes that United Singapore have provided a platform for youths unite to forge a common sense of identity and belonging, in celebration of their national identity as the next generation of Singapore.
